Big Sale Tomorrow

24 Hour Stampin' Up! Sale Coming Tomorrow

Just want to give you a heads up that tomorrow ( October 23rd), Stamping' Up! is offering a 24 hour sale.  At this time, I do not know what products will be on sale.  However, I will find out sometime today and will post it Tuesday morning, so be sure to check back first thing Tuesday morning.

All products during this 24 hour sale will be while supply last, so if you see something you want, jump on it right away before its gone.  You can CLICK HERE to place your order.

You're probably why I haven't posted a card today, and I apologize for not doing so. The reason is all weekend long, I've been in extreme pain in both hands from my arthritis.  It's something that acts up every now and again, and I think from the sudden cold weather my arthritis flared up to the max.  I need my hands to create cards, so right now, this is not good.

With the treatment I'm on and the splints I wear on both hands, I'm hoping to get some relief within the next few days and get back to creating.

In the meantime, be sure to check back early tomorrow morning for a list of the products that will be on sale for 24 hours only.

Making Christmas Bright

 Hello Friends!

Today, I'm featuring a  couple of clean and simple Christmas cards made from the Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set and All Is Bright Designer Series Paper.  This is a fun set to create with and in addition to the stamp set, there is also a Christmas Bulb Builder Punch that is a companion to this set.  As you scroll down on  this page,  you will see the other card I made with this bundle.

The stamp set and punch can be purchased separately, or you can purchase them as a bundle and save 10%.  As always, Stampin' Up! creates the most beautiful designer series paper that I've seen anywhere.  It certainly is nice to have all the components of your projects coordinate by color and theme.

On the inside,  I stamped the string of lights with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and colored the light bulbs with the Stamping Blends.  The sentiment is from the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set and was stamped with Real Red Classic Ink.

Here's the other card I made with the same Making Christmas Bright Stamp Set and the Christmas Bulb Builder Punch.  Don't you agree, Christmas cards are fun to create with this set?

Measurements:

Real Red - Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Whisper White Layer and Inside - 4" x 5 1/2" and 2 3/4" x 5" to stamp the greeting and punch out
All Is Bright Designer Series Paper - 3 3/4" x 5"
Real Red Strip : 1 1/4" x 5"
Whisper White to stamp greeting - 2 3/4" x 3"

Call Me Clover - Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5  1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Real Red Layer - 3 3/4" x 5"
Whisper White Layer - 2 15/16" x 3 15/16"

These were fun and easy cards to make, and I'm happy with them.  I  sure do hope you like them too and will consider adding this bundle to your Christmas stamp collection.  You'll be glad you did!

Bubble, Bubble, Toil & Trouble

Hello Friends!

What do you think of this little witch?  Isn't she the cutest?

My girlfriend Kathy sent me this Halloween card and I love it.  This card was made from the Toil & Trouble Suite on page 48 & 49 in the Holiday Catalog.  The Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper (DSP) make it easy to create beautiful cards.  What's extra special about this DSP is, there is a sheet of witches, cauldrons, cats and witches hats that you can cut out with the Cauldron Framelits Dies which she did.

However, you also have the option of stamping the witch and cauldron from the Cauldron Bubble Stamp Set, coloring it with either Stamping Blends, Watercolor Markers or Watercolor Pencils  and then cutting them out with the coordinating Cauldron Framelits Dies.   Either way, it looks great.

Kathy also  incorporated  the Spooky Sweets Stamp Set and Spooky Bats Punch in creating this card.   A little bit of clear Wink of Stella for the bats on the inside of the card, the banner on the witches hat and the green goo foaming from the cauldron make this card sparkle.  I know it's hard to see the sparkle in the above picture but trust me, it's there and looks awesome.   The ribbon knot made with the beautiful Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon on the front of the card gives it some additional glitter.

Stampin' Up! surely gives us the tools and coordinating products to create with, and Kathy did an excellent job coordinating it all.  As you can tell from this card, Kathy loves Halloween.  In fact,  she sends out 25 Halloween cards and treat holders every year - so YES, I would say, KATHY LOVES HALLOWEEN!  Here's a picture of card again and the Hershey's Nugget Holder she also gave me that she made with some of her retired Stampin' UP! Halloween stamps and designer series paper.

Measurements for the Card
Basic Black Cardstock - 8" x 4 1/4" and score at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 5 1/2" and 6 3/4"
Toil & Trouble DSP - 1" x 4" (cut 4) and 1" x 5" for the Layer on the Basic Black Bridge Strip
Crushed Curry Inside Layer - 2 3/4" x 4"
Whisper White Layer - 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"
Basic Black for the Bridge Strip - 1 1/4" x 5 1/4"
Scrap of Basic Black to punch out the bat

I really love this card and if you do too, lets give Kathy a thumbs up on a job well done in creating  this awesome Halloween card and treat holder.

Thinking of You

Hello Friends!

I wanted to use a stamp set that I haven't played with for a while so, I created the Thinking of You card from the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set.  It's been a while since all I've done is stamping on a card.  Usually, my cards involve dies cutting and punches.

I really enjoyed just playing with ink this time, and I think this is a great card to send to a friend to let them know you're thinking of them.  Also, as the sentiment on the inside says "friendship is a sheltering tree".

The dirt is sponged with Crumb Cake and I used Balmy Blue classic ink to sponge the sky. You can sponge as light or as dark as you like.  The leaves on the tree were stamped with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink.  One thing to keep in mind is, to stamp off once with each color before stamping the leaves onto the tree.

I only stamped part of the branches and leaves on the inside.  The greeting on the front of the card and sentiment on the inside, were stamped with Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink.

Measurements:
Blackberry Bliss - Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Balmy Blue Layer - 4" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White Layer - 3 3/4" x 5" and for the Inside 4" x 5 1/4"

As I stated above, it was fun just stamping to make this card with no die cutting.   However, I do love my dies and punches but once in a while, it's also nice just to play with ink and stamps.
