Petal Palette Birthday

Hello Stampers!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.  The weather is finally starting to change for the better here in the Northeast.

Today, I am featuring a card made from the Petal PaletteFive for All and Teeny Tiny Wishes (retiring) stamp sets and the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper (retiring). This paper is absolutely gorgeous, and although it's all black and white, you can color it with your Watercolor Markers, Watercolor Pencils and even your Blends to give it an altogether different look.

Note:  The retiring products are available until May 31st or while supplies last.

The cardstock I used was Thick Whisper White,  Powder Pink and Basic Black.  I also used the Basic Black and Powder Pink Shimmer ribbon. The little bird from the Petal Palette stamp set was stamped with Powder Pink Classic Ink, and the greeting was stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and it's from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

The inside layer is a sheet of Powder Pink cardstock, and I added a strip of the designer series paper to coordinate with the front of the card.  The sentiment was stamped with Tuxedo Memento Black Ink and is from the Five For All stamp set.

I mentioned earlier in this post, that you can color the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper with Watercolor MarkersWatercolor Pencils and Blend Markers.  Below is a sample of how the paper looks when you color it.

The top section was colored with the Daffodil Delight Light Blends; the middle section was done with the Bermuda Bay Watercolor Pencils and I also used the blender pens to even it out but it still looks a little streaky to me ;  and the bottom section was colored with the Powder Pink Watercolor Markers.

I really like the results with the Blends and Watercolor Markers.  I just wanted you to see that even though the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper is all black and white, you can change it to whatever color you want with the Blends, Watercolor Markers or Pencils.
