Lemon Zest

Sometimes life is not what we expected and feel that you were handed lemons. Well, if that's the case go with flow and turn those lemons into lemonade.

The stamp sets I used to make this card are called:  Lemon Zest; Make A Difference and Colorful Seasons.  The layer was embossed with the Layered Leaves Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Layering Circle Framelits to cut out the scalloped circle and the Lemon Builder Punch to punch out the lemons and the leaves. I made a double bow with the linen thread and used a glue dot to adhere to the top of the lemon that is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I used the Make A Difference Stamp Set to write "Make Lemonade".  I think it came out pretty good.  I had to use the Stamparatus to line up the letters.  It might help to draw a faint line for each of the words and then erase them after you've stamped them.  After stamping the lemon wedge, I went over it with the clear Wink of Stella.  I seem to use that a lot.  I like adding some sparkle to my cards.  The glass of lemonade is from the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set.

Even thoughI used Daffodil Delight for the lemons, the wedge and the glass of lemonade, they seem to look orange in the picture but in person, they truly are yellow.

Daffodil Delight - 4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2"
Daffodil Delight Layer - 4" x 5 1/4" (cut 2) - emboss one with the Layered Leaved Embossing Folder
Whisper White Inside Layer - 3 3/4" x 5"
Whisper White  - 4" x 5 1/2" to stamp lemons and leaves.
Whisper White - 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" to cut out the scalloped circle.

This was a fun card to make and although I've had this stamp set for a while, this is the first time I played with it and I like it.  It has some really nice sentiments with a pretty font.   The same goes for the other two stamp sets I used, especially Make A Difference.  Sometimes, we don't have a stamp with the words we want for our cards, so this is a must have set that will help you customize your greetings and/or sentiments.
