Christmas Birthday Card

Hello Stampers!

Today it's about birthdays in December.  I have a few birthdays in December, and I'm sure a lot of you do too, so why not make a birthday card using Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.

I used Real Red Cardstock for the base and  a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock for the 1st layer and spritzed it with the Frost White Shimmer Paint to give it some glimmer.  The way I did that was, I added 70% rubbing alcohol in my Stampin' Spritzer and added about 4 -5 drops of the Frost White Shimmer paint and shook it up really well.  I then spritzed the Shaded Spruce layer lightly.  I spritzed it at arms length because I just wanted a light layer.   I know it may be difficult to see in the photo but believe me, it gives the card a bit of glimmer which is a nice touch for this time of year.

I used Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper (DSP) and placed it on top of the Shaded Spruce layer and wrapped the 3/8" Real Red Cotton Ribbon around the entire layer to cover the seam.    I used Gold Foil along with the adhesive sheets to cut out the greeting with the Happy Birthday Thinlits Dies. The adhesive sheets make it easier to adhere your cut out images to your project..   I  added 3 red rhinestones to finish off the card.

The inside sentiment is from the Special Celebrations Stamp Set and the poinsettia swag at the top of the Whisper White layer is from the Dashing Deer Stamp. Both were stamped with Real Red Classic Ink.

This is a quick and easy card to make, and I'm pleased with the results.  I hope you like it enough to make some of these for your December birthdays.
