Happy Birthday

Hello Friends!

Isn't this a pretty birthday card?  I made this card for my girlfriends mother that is turning 96 years young this week.  She loves getting my cards, and I know she's going to very happy with this one too.

I doesn't matter what age you are, everyone loves getting cards.  Sometimes a card is all someone needs to have a good day.

This card was make with the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP).   This paper is absolutely gorgeous.  There is 12 double -sided sheets of paper in this pack, with one side in photographic floral designs and the other side is marble designs & textured appearance.  If you don't already have this paper, you might want to check it out because it's absolutely gorgeous.

The base of the card is Smoky Slate and the layer is Blushing Bride.  I sponged the edges of the Blushing Bride layer and label with Blushing Bride classic Ink.  I wrapped a piece of the 5/8" Polka Tulle Ribbon around the two top layers and tied a bow on the side of the card.  The label was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals, and I finished off the card with a 1 medium and 2 small pearls.

I put a strip of the Petal Promenade DSP on the inside and stamped the greeting from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set with Smoky Slate.  I also sponged the edges around this layer as well.

Smoky Slate Card Base - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Blushing Bride Front & Inside Layer - 4" x 5 1/4"
Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper - 3 3/4" x 5 " and 1" x 5 1/4"
Smoky Slate for the Label - 2" x 3 " cut in half
Blushing Bride for the Label - 2" x 3"

I think this is a very pretty feminine card and I know my friends mother is going to love it.  As I mentioned above, it doesn't matter what age you are, everyone likes to get cards.  A card can brighten anyones day.

Comments are always welcomed, so please let me know if you love this card too!
