Snowflake Christmas Card

Hello Friends!

The snowflakes are coming soon, and I hope this winter we don't get too many.  Speaking of snowflakes, the one in the card is the type I like - they don't make a mess and you don't have to shovel them.

This pretty snowflake card was created from the Snow Is Glistening Stamp Set and the Snowfall Thinlits Dies.  This set has so many possibilities, but I decided to make a simple card with one big snowflake.  As a reminder, the stamp set and Thinlits dies will only be available for one more week.

I spritzed the Merry Merlot Cardstock with the Frost White Shimmer paint that I mixed with 70% alcohol in the Stampin' Spritzer and sprayed just a fine mist to add a little sparkle to the cardstock.  I think you can see the shimmer a little bit in the photo.  The mist of the shimmer paint gives your cardstock a subtle glimmer yet makes it look elegant.

Silver Foil Sheet was used to cut the large snowflake, and the Merry Merlot snowflake in the center was cut from the Joyous Noel 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper.  The Snowfall Thinlits Dies consists of 20 snowflake dies so there's many to choose from when making your cards.

The snowflakes across the top was embossed with Silver Embossing Powder, and the sentiment was stamped with Merry Merlot Classic Ink.    Both the snowflake border and the sentiment are also from the Snow Is Glistening Stamp Set.

Measurements:
Whisper White Thick Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
Silver Foil Layer - 4" x 5 1/4"
Merry Merlot Layer - 3 3/4" x 5"
Whisper White Inside Layer - 4" x 5 1/4"
Scrap of Merry Merlot Glimmer Paper from the Joyous Noel 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper for the smaller snowflake
Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon approximately 14"

Even though this card has a little bit of everything - shimmer, glimmer, foil and embossing, I still think it's a simple yet elegant card, and I hope you like it as much as I do.

The Snow is Glistening Stamp Set and the Snowfall Thinlits Dies are only available until November 30th, so there's still time to get them before they're gone.
